Dear SPPIRIT Member,
We are excited to invite you to this year’s SPPIRIT Mini-Symposium, which will be held at the University of Dundee. Please see the attached flyer and register for this free event via Eventbrite.
Thursday, October 29th
1:00 – 3:30 pm: Presentations and keynote talks (University of Dundee, Faculty of Life Sciences)
From 3:30 pm onwards: Networking (Canvas Dundee taproom, across the street)
Although SPPIRIT is ECR-driven, our events are open to everyone involved in parasitology research across Scotland. Please feel free to share this event with anyone who may be interested.
Networking is consistently one of the most enjoyed aspects of the annual SPPIRIT Symposium, so this year we are placing a special focus on it. Join us in Dundee for short talks showcasing the breadth of parasitology research across Scotland, a keynote from Dr. Andrew McLean, and informal networking at Canvas, one of Dundee’s most popular venues.
This event is free to attend, but registration via Eventbrite is required. Please note that this is an in-person event and is child-friendly. Further details are available on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sppirit-mini-symposium-tickets-1998897523301?aff=oddtdtcreator).
We look forward to welcoming you and your lab to Dundee.
P.S. For PIs: we still have four slots available for lab “showcases.” Please get in touch with Mattie Pawlowic (m.c.pawlowic@dundee.ac.uk) if you would like to nominate an ECR from your group to give a short (5-minute) presentation showcasing your lab’s work.
Best wishes,
SPPIRIT Committee
