Dear SPPIRIT Member,

We are excited to invite you to this year’s SPPIRIT Mini-Symposium, which will be held at the University of Dundee. Please see the attached flyer and register for this free event via Eventbrite.

Thursday, October 29th

1:00 – 3:30 pm: Presentations and keynote talks (University of Dundee, Faculty of Life Sciences)
From 3:30 pm onwards: Networking (Canvas Dundee taproom, across the street)

Although SPPIRIT is ECR-driven, our events are open to everyone involved in parasitology research across Scotland. Please feel free to share this event with anyone who may be interested.

Networking is consistently one of the most enjoyed aspects of the annual SPPIRIT Symposium, so this year we are placing a special focus on it. Join us in Dundee for short talks showcasing the breadth of parasitology research across Scotland, a keynote from Dr. Andrew McLean, and informal networking at Canvas, one of Dundee’s most popular venues.

The Helminth Eco Health Hub is a new BBSRC-funded research network, and the team is pleased to announce its first launch event. The Helminth Eco Health Hub Symposium will take place in Liverpool on 22–23 September.

The network aims to lead global research efforts towards sustainable helminth control and welcomes anyone with an interest in helminth research, regardless of their current focus. It is hoped that many of you will be able to join upcoming events. More information about the network can be found on their website: www.helminthhub.co.uk.
